Община чупрене

През 1973 г. в землищата на селата Стакевци, Чупрене, Репляна и Горни лом е създаден горският резерват "ЧУПРЕНЕ" с "ОГЛЕД ОПАЗВАНЕТО В ПЪРВИЧНИЯ ИМ ВИД - НАЙ СЕВЕРНАТА ЕСТЕСТВЕНА ИГЛОЛИСТНА ГОРА В БАЛГАРИЯ И НЕЙНИТЕ ОБИТАТЕЛИ". През 1977г. ЮНЕСКО към ООН включва резерват "ЧУПРЕНЕ" в своите списъци на защитени природни територии като "...НЕДЕЛИМА ЧАСТ ОТ МЕЖДУНАРОДНАТА МРЕЖА НА БИОСФЕРНИ РЕЗЕРВАТИ, СЪСТАВЕНА ОТ ТЕРИТОРИИ ЗА ОЦЕНКА НА ЧОВЕШКОТО ВЪЗДЕЙСТВИЕ ВЪРХУ ОКОЛНАТА СРЕДА". Около и в резервата могат да се наблюдават следните растителни видове: бук смърч, ела, планински божур или витошко лале. Представителите на Животинските Видове са: змия-усойница, глухар, кръсточовка, лещарка, благороден елен, върк и др.

Was established in 1973 on the land of the villages Stakevci, Chuprene, Replyana and Gorski Lom. The purpose of its establishment was “the preservation of the most northern natural coniferous forest and its fauna in their original environmental condition”. In 1977, UNESCO and the UN included the
Natural Reserve “Chuprene” in their Lists of Protected Nature Territories. It was described as “an inseparable part of the international network of biospheric reserves, which is comprised of territories for evaluation of the human impact on the environment”.
The following representatives of the flora can be observed wihtin the limits of the reserve and in the surrounding territories: Beech-tree (Fagus),
Spruce (Picea Exselsa),
Pine Spruce (Abies Alba),
Trollius (Trollius Europeus)
and Vitosha Tulip.
The representatives of the fauna are: Horned Adder (Vipera Berus), Wood
Grouse Carpecalizie, Crossbill (Loxia Curvirostra), Hazelhen (Tetrastes Bonasia), Red Royal Deer, Wolf etc.
